Art Club members work with paper, clay, and other materials, as well as volunteering in the community. Past projects have included tie dye t-shirts, painted glass, holiday paper sculptures, jewelry, murals, and deck art skateboard competition.

Members have the option of joining the National Art Honor Society for an additional $5 membership. Deadline to join is November 18th.

Computer Science Honor Society encourages secondary students’ enthusiasm for computer science, honors academic excellence, and promotes service. Members participate in community service through volunteering and mentoring programmers on how to code, compete in hackathons, and volunteer as mentors helping other students with coding and programming. with mentoring and coding. Members must be enrolled in or have taken a CTE class.

The National English Honor Society is an organization that strives to help the community through literature, language, and service. They offer volunteer work through school supplies drives, tutoring, etc.

Applications are open to all RHS juniors and seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Returning members must reapply as well. Additional fees consist of $15 for first year member dues and $5 for returning member dues.

Sponsored by Mr. Arcangeli, French students have a lot of fun as they take on creative projects, and celebrate French culture. Students have the option of joining Société Honoraire de Français. 

Applications for interested students are accepted at the beginning of 2nd semester through March. For membership in the honor society, qualifying students must:

1. Be currently enrolled in French 2 or above with a grade of A- or above.
2. Be a current member of the French Club.
3. Have a B- grade average or better in all classes.
4. Be an active participant in club activities.

Meetings are held on the 1^st and 3^rd Thursdays of the month in the Media Center.

German Club is all about celebrating Germanic culture, language, and traditions. Students create German-inspired art, celebrate German holidays, sing German songs, eat German food, and even watch German films. 

Delta Epsilon Phi National Honor Society for High School Students of German organization for German students in grades 10-12. Members meet monthly to discuss volunteer opportunities and community events. Members must be in German level 3 or higher with a GPA of 3.5 or above and complete an application. Applications are accepted in April for the following school year.

Tri-M National Music Honor Society recognizes talented students in the field of music and works to promote a love of music.

Members become involved with volunteer activities and community events, such as providing lessons to middle school students, visiting elementary schools to introduce younger students to different instruments, and holding fundraisers for school music programs in need.

Applications are accepted until the end of October. 

An additional $2.00 fee applies for national membership dues.

The RHS chapter of the National Honor Society exists to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize  students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

The application window for membership in NHS is in the spring, from March 1st - April 15th for current sophomores and juniors interested in becoming a member for the following school year.

Sponsored by Mrs. Slomka, members of Science NHS- RHS chapter collaborate to bring science opportunities to the community by participating in various community events. Previous events that members have participated in include elementary school science fairs, supporting other science clubs, setting up & cleaning up labs for science teachers, growing plants in the RHS courtyard, providing mini science lessons to elementary school students, and tutoring in science subjects. Members have also experienced attending a virtual autopsy, hearing from local scientists, and a working at a fossil excavation at Dinosaur Hill. 

For becoming a member, students must be either current juniors and seniors that are enrolled in their third year of science and apply in the fall.

Applications and payment are due by Oct. 10th. 

Monthly meetings are held the second Thursday of the month after school, and the second Friday of the month before school in room D132.

Sigma Xi Explorers is the student chapter of the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society and is open to students who are enrolled in an RHS AP Capstone course: AP Seminar or AP Research. For Capstone students looking to take their research to the next level, members receive experience that builds a strong foundation for college success and will have an opportunity to interact with mentoring groups at OU, U of M, and GM. Students also participate in volunteer work to support AP Capstone research trips and RHS school events.

In addition to the $30 club fee, a $25 national membership fee applies which includes a mailed copy of the organization's American Scientist magazine.

Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society is the national organization for high school juniors and seniors that recognizes excellence in the field of Social Studies. Our RHS chapter provides recognition for outstanding students, and encourages an interest in, understanding of, and appreciation for the social studies.

Students must be a junior or senior, have a minimum GPA of 3.4, have taken World History, U.S. History, Government, and an additional social studies elective, and complete an application in April for the following year.

National membership is an additional $10 per student and is due by October 14th.

Sponsored by Mrs. D’Addario, the RHS chapter of Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica provides students a great experience in Spanish culture and practice with the language.

Applications for membership are accepted from mid-April to mid-May for the following school year and are available from Mrs. D'Addario, Mrs. Cano, or Mrs. Prindle. Students must be in Spanish 3, 4, or 5AP and at least a sophomore, junior, or senior who applied in the previous spring in order to join.

An additional $5.00 fee for national membership is required of all first year members only. Registration deadline is Oct. 31st.

ASL club members work to educate themselves and their community about sign language and its culture. Members will be working on various projects and volunteering at events like story time at the Rochester Hills Public Library and helping with children's sign language classes, and collaborating on events and activities with ASL clubs in our other RCS high schools.

ASL Club is open to all students to learn about ASL and Deaf Culture. Meetings are before and after school every second Thursday in B111.

Book club members get together in small groups to discuss a common book that they're reading. This is a great opportunity to share thoughts  with student-led discussions and to increase your understanding of a book than you might have had from reading alone. The group will also consider participating in the New York Times My List Review Contest, held this year from Jan. 14 - Feb 25. 2026.

Cold Case Club is a forensics-based club where members discuss current cases, new forensic innovations, and activities/discussions about forensics. It's a welcoming space for students who enjoy forensic science to connect and cooperate in activities together. 

Members look over case studies and play interactive crime-solving games that enhance their investigative techniques. Potential field trips offer members additional experiences in the area of forensics.

CS Club is for students who are passionate about coding and computers. Members will work on building websites, apps, and games. CS Club aims to foster students' creativity and sense of community. Members will also be able to showcase their work at the end of the year.

Educators Rising is a chapter of the national organization Educators Rising, focused on working with students interested in education as a profession. Open to any RHS student interested in a career in education, this club provides members with knowledge of the various positions within education, helping them to learn more about teaching and to potentially discover their own area of interest. 

Members work within classrooms, hear guest speakers, and help with projects throughout the district to gain hands-on experience. Members will also participate in the Educators Rising competition held in March consisting of skill-based competitive events focusing on creativity, commitment, and professionalism.

Engineering Club is for students interested in the STEM fields. Members listen to informational talks, create small electrical boards, 3D modeling, and build a mini robot later in the year. 
They learn about the different areas of STEM, such as electrical, CAD, and programming.

There will be a small additional fee (>$20) for any student wanting to purchase an engineering kit for their one of their hands-on projects.

The FEDS on the Rochester High School robotics team compete on a global scale in the areas of engineering, business, imagery, STEM outreach and safety. Our "Agents of Change" on the Falcon Engineering and Design Solutions (FEDS) team members participate in the FIRST Robotics competition by designing, building, wiring, and programming a competitive robot built according to season rules. In addition, Agents ensure that STEM education is accessible to as many interested students as possible. Agents work with mentors who are industry leaders in an array of fields, establishing skill sets and mentoring relationships that last for years to come. The FIRST community becomes a long-lasting network of connections for students that often lead to scholarships, internships, and career guidance. The FEDS are dedicated to the FIRST values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and is run solely by volunteer mentors. Parent participation is highly encouraged.

The team meets every Tuesday and Thursday from September – December, from 6-9pm. Starting January, we meet M-Th, and Saturday until our competition season starts in March. During competition season, we meet as needed to meet team goals. We take a break in July and begin meeting again on Thursday evenings in Aug. All items subject to change.

Additional fees consist of $250 for team materials and competitions entrance fees and $50 for team uniform.

In Film Production Club, members work together to write and film their own short film. Activities include analyzing and critiquing current various film scenes, learning how to write a screenplay, and the working in various roles of cinematography with camera, lighting, and sound.

Potential plans include a field trip to the Motion Picture Institute in Troy and submitting their work to competitions and film festivals.

Forensic Speech is a club that focuses on competitive public speaking and impromptu speech-giving. Members will learn about speech writing and the different categories, such as persuasive speaking, informative speaking, and speech to entertain. They'll also learn about and practice with individual and group performances with the goal of choosing a category to compete in through MIFA, the Michigan Interscholastic Forensic Association.

Members work together to learn from each other and improve their public speaking, critical thinking, and performance skills, Alli interested students are welcome!

GIDAS members study and advocate the importance of genes in health and personalized medicine. The club is affiliated with miRcore, a non-profit organization focused on medical research. Each year, miRcore selects a disease of focus for its high school club members to research. The club also plans to participate in the University of Michigan's Genes and Health contest. Students gain exposure to medical  genomics and will take part in community service.

Ms. Hope sponsors the GIDAS club, which meets Thursdays after school in Ms. Hope’s room, D122.

Members in the RHS chapter of HOSA: Future Health Professionals work on their knowledge, technical skills, and leadership in the health sciences. Members also compete at the regional and state levels. 

An additional $20 is required for joining at the state and national level. Closer to competitions held in December and in February, fees to compete at the regional and state level will also be collected, in addition to any travel expenses needed for attending the state competition.

The Investment Club encourages students to broaden their knowledge about the business world and increase their financial literacy. Each week, they discuss a new topic about investing, trading, and market-related items to teach students about investing. Students hear lectures from guests in the field and discuss establishing financial goals. Members also participate in stock trading competitions among each other using an online platform where they purchase and trade stocks.

Sponsored by Mrs. Frisby, Model U.N. is the perfect club for students interested in politics or international relations. Students participate in simulations of U.N. conferences, role playing as U.N. ambassadors and researching, debating, and problem-solving current issues. The team participates in Oakland University's High School Model United Nations Conference where they are assigned a country and a relevant issue currently being discussed in the U.N.

The purpose of the RHS Nature Club is to experience nature first-hand. Members will work at starting various community gardens, such as a native species garden, a bee highway, and a butterfly garden. They also work to inform the community about nature and and go on hikes to collect data on native species.

Psychology club is a space for students who share an interest in psychology. Members will engage in several different events such as providing stress relief activities during exam times, educating students on coping skills and healthy habits, hands-on experiments, and involvement with local organizations relating to psychology and neuroscience.

The RHS R.A.T.S. (Rochester Alliance of Theatrical Students) are an integral part of our fall and spring theater productions. They represent cast, crew, and talented performers who put on a full length musical in the fall, a one act play in the winter, and full length play in the spring. The R.A.T.S. club is also the home of the Dead R.A.T.S, an improvisation team. Auditions are held in December of each year.

Anyone can be a member of R.A.T.S. and everyone is welcome!

The ROC Band Club is a music club where student musicians who have an appreciation of the rock music genre can meet, collaborate, practice together, and perform. All sub-genres of rock are explored. During club meetings, members collaborate on building and playing a setlist of songs based on a chosen theme and have the opportunity to participate in live performances.

SAT Club members are students who want to help other students improve their SAT score. The serve as tutors and help current sophomores and juniors with to solve questions that are on the SAT.  Tutors provide this assistance twice a month during Advisory sessions in the Media Center. All interested juniors and seniors are welcome to join. Tutoring is a great experience to list on your college applications!

The first meeting for members is Wed., Sept. 17 in room D105 and the first Advisory tutoring session is Wed., Oct. 8th.

The RHS chapter of Science Olympiad is on a mission to inspire the next generation of scientists, health professionals, and engineers and is dedicated to helping students pursue their passion in scientific fields. Members engage in all areas of science, from chemistry to biology to physics. The team discusses current events related to science as they prepare for competition exploring various science topics and engaging in hands-on activities. 

Competition is comprised of 23 different events ranging from anatomy to astrophysics to aeronautics. Members are paired up and placed in events depending on classes taken, interests, their experience in Science Olympiad, and other factors. During the course of the year, partners help each other explore their event in preparation for the final competition. In early March, students in this club will take either a written exam or a building exam of the skills they have acquired over the course of the year in their particular subject. 

There will be an additional fee for entering the Regionals competition.

That's Debatable is made up of students who are interested and excited about discussing and debating current issues from all perspectives! Students learn and practice valuable skills that will help in any profession they choose to work in. Students learn and practice valuable skills such as:

• Developing sound and logical arguments and expressing them clearly and concisely.
• Speaking in front of an audience.
• Becoming aware of important issues and events.

Meetings are held in Mr. Stanick's room, B139 and are held every other Tuesday starting Sept 23^rd.

Dungeons and Dragons club members play one of the most popular and famous tabletop roleplaying games that takes them on adventures fighting monsters and discovering treasure! Dungeons and Dragons is a social game - players work together towards a common goal. All skill levels are welcome!

Esports at RHS is in its 2nd season this year! Students practice weekly to prepare for competition through the Michigan High School Esports League. Individual teams are created to compete in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, League of Legends, Rocket League, and Valorant.

The Esports Team is sponsored by Coach Banks, and meetings are held in the Esports lab located off of the Media Center Blue Space on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays depending on which team you'd like to play on.

Everyone is welcome to join Pickleball club -  no experience necessary! Members will meet outside near the football field on the upper level behind the bleachers to set up their court. On days when the weather prevents playing outside, members will meet in the lower collab to play ping pong.

Sponsored by Coach Abramczyk and Coach Parsons, the Rochester Mountain Bike Team is a tri-high team, comprised of members from all three high schools. They meet evenings from early May through mid-October. Group rides happen at various local mountain bike trails, including Bloomer Park, Addison Oaks County Park, River Bends Park, Stony Creek Metropark, and more. Rider recruitment is ongoing throughout the season. Students divide into groups based upon speed and skill levels, and coaches lead the groups for a 1-1.5 hour long ride.

No experience is necessary - beginners are welcome and encouraged to join! The team offers an optional racing program where students can race in the MiSCA Race Series (Michigan Scholastic Cycling Association) on Sundays from late August to mid-October. Students that join the Varsity Racing Program can receive a varsity club letter if all varsity requirements are met.

The $30 club fee does not apply, however other costs consist of MiSCA membership (waived for first year riders), a $100 team fee, and rider equipment purchases.

This club is for any student who would love to find other students who are excited to talk and share their thoughts about Taylor Swift and her music. During meetings, members listen to music, make friendship bracelets, and talk about different easter eggs she has.

Led by Link Crew advisors Mr. Stanick and Ms. Hope, Link Crew is a high school transition program comprised of RHS juniors and seniors who work with freshmen students and help them adjust to their first year of high school.  Link Crew members serve as mentors and positive role models. They participate in many different activities throughout the year. 

The application window is in April/ May for the following year to students who will be either juniors or seniors. No fees apply for students accepted as Link Crew Mentors.
