The Michigan School Meals program offers universal free breakfast and lunch during the 2023-24 school year for all public school students in transitional kindergarten through high school, and preschoolers in the Great Start Readiness Program. All students are automatically eligible every school day. No action is required for free meals.

Breakfasts: Breakfast is available to students from 7:05-7:30 a.m. every school day. Items include daily specials in addition to cereal, pancakes, bagels, muffins, cereal bars, and other regular items. 

Lunches: RHS has a three-period lunch schedule. Choices include hot lunch daily specials, made-to-order subs, salads, hot sandwich specials, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, and daily pizza specials. There is also a large selection of a la carte items that include snacks, side dishes, and desserts.

Students are encouraged to use a Four Year Course Selection Planning Form to assist them in their selection of courses throughout their high school years. The ESL Parent Liaison Center (PLC) is open to all families across our district who speak English as a second language.  The goal of the PLC is to provide a place where families can interact with one another and form a sense of community. Several different classes and events are offered at the PLC, all of which are free of charge.  These include: ESL Conversation classes, Newcomer Social Group, American Culture Class, Current Events Discussion Group, Informational Classes, and Special Events. 

The ESL Parent Liaison Center is located at Schultz Education Campus, 1440 John R. Road, room 112, and open Monday -Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. For more information, visit their web page.

The Lost & Found is located in the main office. Students looking for lost items or turning in items found can stop by before school or during the school day. All items that have not been claimed by the end of each quarter are donated to local charities.

RCS requests that parents/guardians complete a Medical Action Plan for their child with any health issues that may require attention during the school day. For students needing medications, a separate permission slip is required.

RHS Students are issued a school ID card at registration for each new school year. Students must carry their ID on their person at all times in school and are required to show it to any staff member upon request. Student ID's are also used for textbook checkout, attendance at school dances, and admission to athletic events.
If an ID is lost, replacements are available for $5.00 and are reprinted in the Counseling Office.

Volunteer Information:
All parents and adults volunteering at RHS are required to submit an ICHAT Authorization form: the Michigan State Police Internet Criminal History Access Tool. Completing this form each year is required when volunteering within a classroom, with the theater or music departments, working with student clubs, chaperoning field trips, and all other activities where working with students is involved.
